Responsible for playing a
proactive role in identifying at least 20% of potential women farmers and rural
entrepreneurs from the peri-urban areas to ensure their access to all project
related activities and access to agro-inputs from dealers and other resources,
linking them with credit institutions, linking them with supermarkets for
selling their outputs. He/she shall ensure data collection process is
gender-disaggregated and measuring direct and indirect impact of project,
particularly through technology transfer on women. The gender
specialist will develop a strategy to ensure at least 20% participation of
women in all project activities. Qualification: She/he must
have master’s degree in social science with minimum 5-7 years’ experience as
gender specialist in development projects with focus on ensuring women’s access
to all agriculture related services. Advanced computer skills are essential,
including Microsoft Access and Excel.
